Turkey Ad Text

The advertisement will use your illustration to grab attention, explain the feral cat and turkey situation, and/or call readers to action. It will most likely use text to explain the particulars of the illustration's message.

Typically, a print advertisement's text consists of a three-tiered visual/message hierarchy:
1) a dominant headline. This can be set or drawn in a font which visually complements the illustration and is juxtaposed and/or configured with the visual,
2) a sub-dominant sub-head, sentence and/or short paragraph which explains the context and/or particulars of the head-line, and
3) a sub-ordinant call-to-action. It may also include an identity graphic, phone number, and/or web site url for more information.

Here is an example of a cat/turkey illustration with the text added:
The headline is STOP FERAL CATS
The subhead is For more information visit our website at www.utahturkey.com
It ends with the Unitied Turkey Growers of Moroni Logo.

Note how well the text and logo visually work with the illustration.

The student illustrator is Mitzi Schroeder.
